OUR SERVICES
At Families Facing Forward, we meet families where they are; in their homes, in their communities, and in their hardest moments. Whether a family needs support before a crisis unfolds or intensive help to stay together through one, we are here. Our services are compassionate, personalized, and rooted in evidence-based care, always centered on one goal: helping children feel safe and families move forward together.
Family Preservation Services

Supervised Parenting Time
Our Supervised Parenting Time services provide a safe and supportive environment for children, parents, siblings, and other family members who have been separated due to substantiated cases of abuse, neglect, or juvenile probation involvement. We offer an opportunity for families to reconnect and reestablish their relationships under the guidance of experienced professionals, ensuring the well-being of the child is always the top priority.
These sessions allow parents to actively engage with their children while learning and applying new parenting skills. They also offer a chance to assess their ability to parent effectively. Our services support the goals of the Department of Child Services (DCS) and Juvenile Probation by facilitating meaningful interactions and helping parents strengthen their parenting abilities.
We provide supervised visitation in various settings, including visitation facilities, neutral public sites such as parks or restaurants, and, where appropriate, in homes or foster environments. The safety and emotional well-being of the child are always carefully considered when selecting the location.
Our supervision levels are tailored to the specific needs of the family and the goals of the case. Whether focusing on protective supervision, ongoing assessment for family reunification, or supporting family therapy through practical parenting guidance, we ensure each session aligns with the child’s best interest.
In addition, we offer standard supervised parenting time services, which often include homemaker or parent services, offering guidance on child supervision, nutrition, and other essential parenting skills.
Home-based Casework
Sometimes the most powerful support happens right at home. Our Home-Based Casework Services bring intensive, hands-on guidance directly into the lives of families who are working hard to reunify and build something better. We work directly in the home and community to address concerns such as parenting skills, household management, employment, communication barriers, and safety planning. By offering structured guidance and individualized support, we help families build the skills and stability needed to remain safely together.

We collaborate closely with DCS to create family-centered service plans that are tailored to each household’s unique needs. Our approach is rooted in evidence-based practices and focuses on long-term solutions that empower families to overcome obstacles and reduce the likelihood of future system involvement.
